About Miss Dunker
Hello! My name is Lee Ann Dunker. I grew up in Madison, Indiana which is about 45 minutes from SCES. I attended Madison Consolidated High School and then went to Ball State University where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. I then did my student teaching at Orchard Park Elementary in Carmel, Indiana. After I graduated, I worked as an instructional assistant for one semester at Orchard Park. During two summers, I worked at a camp for children with Autism. I really learned a lot of important things over those two summers!
In August of 2009, I was hired to teach here at SCES and here I have been ever since. I am a third year teacher here at Switzerland County Elementary. The past two years I taught second grade, and I loved every minute of it. I am very excited to come to kindergarten this year. I am looking forward to meeting all my new students and getting to help them learn about and experience so many cool new things!
I am currently working on my masters degree from Ball State University. I am excited to continue my education and grow in my knowledge of learning and instruction. I hope that this next year I can pass on my love of learning to my kindergarteners!
Currently, I live in Madison, Indiana. I have two dogs that like to cause a bit of trouble, but I love! The first is Zeus, a big chocolate lab. The other is Roxy, and she's a mixed breed dog. They are always finding things to get into.
I cannot wait for school to start in August! This is going to be a great year for all of us. We are going to learn and grow so much in this first year of school!
